Outside Mount — Measure the exact width and height of the window frame, then add 3 to 6 inches (7 to 15 cm) for full coverage and optimal light control.

Peel the foam packing straight from top to bottom. Do not pull the packing sideways, as side pulling can misalign the internal lift cords and lead to uneven lifting or cord tangling. Before mounting, confirm all lift cords sit neatly and evenly on the white cord winder on both sides. Woven wood slats are extra sensitive to uneven cord tension and may tilt or bind if cords are misrouted.

The Light Filtering option has no liner and diffuses incoming daylight gently. Room Darkening comes with a matching attached liner, with the same tone on both sides. Blackout includes a dedicated light-blocking liner, with a white backing facing the window and the decorative woven surface facing into your room.

Yes. Bamboo and jute are natural materials, so subtle knots, faint fiber marks and slight texture shifts are normal characteristics. These organic details are intentional and add unique handcrafted character.

Trim detail adds finished edge reinforcement. It helps prevent edge fraying and abrasion for improved durability and a neat, tailored look. Shades ordered without trim keep the raw, unmodified natural fiber edge aesthetic.

Regular care only requires gentle dusting with a soft brush. For minor surface spots, use a lightly damp soft cloth and wipe carefully. Avoid heavy soaking, which may warp or discolor the natural fibers.

Liners on the room darkening and blackout variants can be removed, though removal will change the shade’s light-blocking performance. Light filtering units ship without any liner.
